In all my years of being a dentist, one thing I always tell my patients is that “prevention is any day better than cure”. Over time I’ve figured out a way to help people achieve amazing oral health daily at home, and I promise you, it has nothing to do with flossing. The reality is that many of the people that do floss either end up damaging their gums or don’t see much of a difference because they use devices that are harsh on the tooth and cut the gums.
Most people genuinely believe that their teeth are “adequately healthy” because they brush daily and pay a visit to their dentist a handful of times a year. Surely that’s more than enough? Unfortunately, things don’t quite work that way. The bacteria in your mouth build up daily, and unless you take precautionary methods, the health of your teeth is very likely to deteriorate.
